These stats are weird. I just spent some time on my archer after having him on standby for some time. 242 seems to be the trend.... But I could use some advice. I'm still not a great pvper with archers.[IMG]

Better, but you need one more step. The URL you used is the link to the page with the image. What you need to do is right click on the image on TinyPic and click "Copy Image URL." I'll help you out with this one. The URL I got for the picture is "http://oi59.tinypic.com/wk39cn.jpg"
    Hope this helps.

    Hi Thirteen,

I can give some advice based on my ranger build, lvl 33 (which i stopped playing 2 months ago; only Mortis during this time).
First i've noticed u are premium user, so this will make things much easier.
You need a short bow and coresponding abilities asigned to the experience tree.
I suggest farming arachna, so grab a team and get the spider bow; it should come quick in your hands. Not a fast bow, but it will add some crit which is hard to get at this lvl when u carry a shield on your back. Also, this is a cost-less upgradeable bow, so it will give u good base damage. Use it until u get a legendary short bow. Or windrunners legacy.
Make all your gear pink; easy task for premium users.
Grab boots with 15-19% speed, easy achievable even if it is pink item.
Now lets get some uniques....farm Slifmoor, left side, and full Wildherz caverns for Skutu. U can also get the Wind arrows + Prismatic belt. Melt these items for the so much needed glyphs. If u are lucky enough u can get also windrunner's legacy, but pvp is doable without this powerfull item. Also, heredur for bear-pauldrons is some easy-to-get good option at this level. Dragon killer shoulders is also a powerfull item if u get it.
Meanwhile u should also combine items to have on the left side only legendary equipment.
Very important, no matter the stats of legendary equipment on left side, keep them until u get full build. U will often say about some legendary item that is not good for your current build. But items come more and more and the build might change. So don't rush in melting something on a first look.
And when u build your toon, remeber. High damage is good, but same importance, sometimes even more is to have high att speed and critical hit rate.
Try to focus on next full moon event to get the helmet. When new moon comes again, well, if u can get full set, that is a very nice option for your build;).
Don't forget, at this lvl gems count more than at lvl 45 and glyphs much more.
Maybe, in 2 months you are lvl 33 and you will be ready for a few mortis runs...
PS: get a legendary shield with 2-3 block rate stats (above 40% each if possible) and one of damage reduction by blocking. It will help a lot to sustain hits in pvp.

    Hello guys and gals,
Any idea where to farm gear for lvl 30 for PvP? So I do not want to level up right now.

This is an isue i've come up with; should my ranger have a quiver for high crit rate or shield for better armor and block?

Depends on other gear and your play style.

I prefer having high burst damage rather than standing there taking hits and dealing less damage, so probably quiver then. i just thought there was a better of the two, since i see most ranger using shields rather than quivers

Buckler is good if you don't want to get one-shot by lightnings or precision shots. If you cannot avoid taking heavy damage use buckler, otherwise use quiver to get the job done quicker. You can tank by dealing damage just as well, nobody can attack you if everybody is dead.

A valuable skill is to have both and be able to change on the fly to increase damage or increase defense. When you are in a party and have quiver on, you may draw agro from a mob and it will come for you. Being able to quickly put on a shield may keep you from doing the rez and run routine, or to stand your ground and keep dealing damage as opposed to dancing around to run away from it.

As a PvE player, I favor strong defenses over high damage (buckler > quiver). Reason: damage you can instantly boost, with essence, whenever you need it (and usually, I don't). Plus, with strong defenses you don't need good aim. :p
