It would be NICE, to have an icon (show-case at login) of a ranger that was savvy enough to KNOW.. the ARROW, always lays on the THUMB side of the bow (regardless whether you are left or right handed).. not on the index knuckle.
It is a small matter indeed but an important detail to an archer.

You know that. I know that.
The design department thinks a guy with a blow gun is an archer, and that you can use a bow and arrow with 1 hand.

Not necessarily true. Ancient horse archers like the Mongols often shot with the bow oriented horizontal/parallel to the ground to reduce the chance of the arrow losing its nock or sliding of the thumb as the horse moved. The fingers were also on top. Not an accurate way to shoot, but effective for suppression and area denial--not single target delivery.

Your point, of course, is well taken and accurate. It is one of those things we learn to live with in the same manner as the ability to use a shield and a bow at the same time and a dwarf firing a cannon free hand without flying backwards and impaling himself on the flag sticking out of his pants, clinched between his cheeks. Not logical, but part of the mechanics we overlook.
