Quest "Cursed Wish (4/9)"

I am lvl54 and Cursed Wish is the only left quest in order to advance the main story. Moreover there is no other side story quest available. Although I killed Sandling Scout many times, the quest is not completed. Any suggestion?

There are two explanations why you can't finish the quest line:
1. You didn't kill the scout
2. You didn't pick up the fragment

This quest is a tricky one.
Fortunately I finished it easily on my main ranger... BUT ...that was not the case with my TS character.
I couldn't find the scout even if the map was all clear. There is a catch ... the scout (sandling) is running around the map. Just ride your mount and run around the map ... eventually you will find it. This sandling is very fast and he is running constantly ... so you will have to react fast when you find him or he will escape.

Also not able to complete Cursed Wish quest
killing the scout doesn't finish the quest all there is for me now is to chase the scout
if it is the right one i have to kill

 

I had to kill the scout three times, just waited at the same spot until he came running again... then got the fragment.
Might not be a 100% drop for the sandling scout.

If you see him running, wait there and after some time he will come back...then stun him otherwise he is too fast (for me he was).

By the way.don't bother running after him
just stand in his path and he will come directly to you
