Glyphs of power?

I've been selling all my pieces of extraordinary or legendary gear when i find a better weapon, but i've noticed i can use them for glyphs of power. Would you say this is worth it or that i should keep selling my for money? Thanks.

Are you experience level 50?

At level 50, I generally melt all legs, all pinks, all blues worth less than 80 silver and all greens worth less than 20 silver unless I am using them for crafting.

Melt everything magic, extraordinary, legendary or uniques to get glyphs of power.
Sell greens and whites.

Here are the rules I live by in my search for better gear and gold and glyphs. It is a bit of a balancing act. If you save gear, but don't have any gold, you can't craft. If you have tones of glyphs, but crappy gear, you will still have crappy stats. If you have tons of gold, but no items to craft with, you will never make the killer gear that is worth spending your glyphs on. It is a circular problem and you need a little bit of all three.

First, I ID everything and I'm only looking out for gold lines and slots on the types of items I'm looking for. Gold catches my eye even when my brain doesn't have time to register what the stats are, and the only items I need to check for slots at the stage I'm at are a handful of extraordinary items, so it only takes a little to do this part. Any usable items are moved to a designated area of my inventory where I keep my useful "Junk" items.

Second, I have strict rules about what is sell and what is melt, so that speeds it up too. I sell all greens (even those worth less than 10 silver which would be worth more as melt) because there are usually too many to check. Then I sell all blue rings and amulets, and any 2H weapon that is worth more than 70 silver. From time to time, blue shields will also be worth more than 70 silver. Then I check exos. The only exos worth selling in my opinion are ones that are worth more than 3 gold which is the occasional 2H weapon. Not even rings and amulets are worth selling at this point. These items are usually worth between 3.3 gold and 4.5 gold. Finally, if I get a legendary 2H that I can't use for crafting in the future (No slots or no gold lines), I'll check it's sell price. On a really rare occasion, you'll find one worth 11+ gold if it has no % damage or % crit damage and the damage/crit lines are on the high side.

Finally, I melt whatever is left. After already relocating the items worth saving and selling those with high sell prices compared to the melt they'd bring, this part takes no time at all.

I'd say it depends on your lv. the glyphs that you melt never go away and can improve your gear as you lv. up, at the same time getting 1000 gold for the last cloak is a long grind at that lv. So I only keep green jewelry and melt all else.

This advise should be taken with the two credits it cost me as a noob
